There are currently only 10 plots remaining in Phase 4 of the development. The Merry Hill development forms part of Chintsa East and falls within the Great Kei Municipality. There are no Developer imposed building restrictions regarding style or timeframes within which to build in the development. All building plans must follow the normal channel of municipal submission to the GKM's building inspector for approval prior to commencement of construction.
The water supply is provided by Amathole and originates from Chintsa's own dam and purification plant. Eskom provides the electricity supply directly to each home. Chintsa East utilises sewerage conservancy tanks, serviced by Amathole District Municipality, for which there is a monthly levy.
The Eastern Cape coast has seen a huge amount of growth and development recently with residential, business and infrastructure development.
In recent years there have been several residential estate developments along the East Coast resorts route. Most of these estates have strict building requirements, high levies and require homeowners to be part of the body corporate.
